CANOE TRIP ON 24 08 2020

At 9.30 am, we were nine cheerful paddlers at the start of the canoe trip on the Saurine on the Perrotine channel.

The Amirale boat had taken Chantal, a local environmental specialist, who gave us a taste of some wild plants with many different comments.

It took us about 2h30 to do the course in this very particular environment of the channel subjected to the tides.

As experienced sailors, we took advantage of the flow to go up and the reversal to come back.

The various channels form a complex whole, but in which it is impossible not to find the base, as we just have to wait for the ebbing tide to bring us back to the starting point.

A big thank you to Marie and her brother Simon who manage the "Aloha canoe" base and who allowed us to make this nice outing with an adapted price and in good conditions.

This pleasant discovery, half water, half countryside, ended with the sharing of our baskets, by tasting, at the edge of the channel, various recipes, sprinkled with different wines, but in moderation.

We can only recommend this outing to be done as a family.

APB: fishing trip and walk on the island of Aix

6 boats took part in this outing: the Stéphadian with Alain Robert and Danielle Guilloteau, Fleur d'eau with Jean-Marie Noton, Saamée with Gérald, Chasse Marée with Philippe Carteron, Ophéa with Brigitte and Thomas and Fraguito with Françoise and Alain Boismoreau.

At 8 o'clock everyone was at the meeting point in front of the association's office and at 8.30 we left the port. A light E-NE wind was blowing and after 2 tacks we arrived 2 hours later at the anchorage on the beach of Tridoux. Alain Robert took his dinghy and his dinghy to the port so that everyone could go ashore. There, we divided up the tasks: oyster fishing for the sailors and a walk for their crew members...

The picnic was a festive moment, we successively tasted Perigord walnut wine, Danielle's local pineau, Jean-Marc's white wine etc... without forgetting to taste the oysters and to share what everyone had brought. The convoying of the arrival started again for the departure with some small problems but which were not due to the alcohol reasonably absorbed!!

Everyone went back on board and 5 boats reached the port of Boyard while Fraguito took the direction of Les Minimes.

Une première sortie bien appréciée et très sympathique qui a permis la découverte pour certains d’un mouillage tout proche et inconnu !

Some good news this Friday, MAY 29th

The pool doors are installed, the adjustments are in progress, and the cofferdams should be removed on Tuesday June 3.

The 100 km limit will jump as of June 2. This means that you can sail without any distance limit in France.

However, port reception arrangements may vary, so please enquire before making a call.

Take care.

And see you soon on the pontoons

Information of 20 05 2020

Cofferdams Boyardville Harbour

Here are some pictures of the second cofferdam put in place on April 20th. The cofferdam is made in 3 parts, weight of a panel between 3 tons and 3.5 tons, its height is about 5 m.

the gap between the two cofferdams will allow work at the bottom of the door.

A cofferdams is a dam intended for the temporary retention of water at a given location on a given surface.
