PORT JOINVILLE - Reception of visitors

Good morning to all of you dear members of the Board,

>
We hope you are all in good health and full of energy at the beginning of the summer to make up for the lack of navigation this spring with an increase in summer and even fall activity.
In this context, some of you have probably heard about the restrictions on visits imposed by the manager of PORT JOINVILLE (the Vendée Chamber of Commerce and Industry) on the island of YEU:
  1. Reduction of reception capacities to 25% of what was possible in previous years (60 instead of 243).
  2. Obligation to reserve one's place in advance on the internet via a private platform (Navily).
    >
You should know that the FNPAM appealed not only to the manager but also to the APPA (Atlantic Marina Association) of which Port Joinville is a member, as well as to the Vendée Departmental Council (via the DDTM).
The APPA, through its President B. Moquay, replied that they were going to try to convince the manager to return to a more convivial and respectful practice for pleasure craft visitors, without much hope since each marina is free to manage its own.
The Department has not yet responded.
We will keep you informed of any future developments, but we invite you to inform your members of these difficulties now.
With kind regards
François DOUCHET
